Worked on the fiat a little this weekend. Got a diffuser/bottom plate installed, which has increased freeway range by about 5-7%
And tinted the windows, to avoid using the A/C to also save some range. It also looks cool

Looks good! But the all black look could use something to break it up a bit. It n eeds some abarth scorpion logos somewhere on the car . Ooooooo, get something like this, but the stinger is a lightning bolt!

increased freeway range by about 5-7%
Just from a bottom plate? That’s a decent jump and makes me question why the manufacturer wouldn’t have added a cheap piece of plastic to get that.

Hmm that much? When I looked under my 500e i was surprised how little aero stuff there was. Maybe I’ll be adding the rear diffuser as well.

I know, there is normally just a big hole where the gas tank used to live. I was amazed how much juice it saved Sunday and driving it to work today. No idea why they omitted it in the first place

I hope it doesn’t spring an oil leak.... being a Fiat everything is possible!
Genuinely
impressed by the range gain, at what speeds are you calculating it?

There is still coolant in it, so there is always the chance lol.
That gain was over an average speed of 63 mph based off the percent battery remaining. Its only been a couple days, so I will have to keep checking on it to make sure. But early indications seems to show a hell of an improvement.
Other people who I have talked to have also reported about 5-7%

Saw the picture and was hoping it was a skid plate for X-Treme off roading.
Still, impressive mileage bump.

FCA was hemorrhaging money on these to begin with. That said without a tank there the rear bumper basically becomes a parachute.

Based on the Grainzzzz it makes total sense
